Owen is currently playing for Pepperdine Men’s Volleyball Team. Owen had a successful high school career with Camarillo High School where he led his team to the CIF Finals, earning All-CIF 1st Team Recognition. Owen was also named Ventura County Player of the Year – 2013. In addition to being an elite Indoor Volleyball player, Owen is an elite beach volleyball player. As a beach player, Owen has his AAA Rating and was consistently ranked #1 in the CBVA U-18 division in 2012 and 2013 and currently represents the USA National team in the U-19 division.
For the past two years, Owen has been coaching at VCVC-Beach working with the 12-14 year old boys and girls teaching them the fundamentals of the game. Owen has found this experience to be extremely rewarding and he looks forward to coaching at VCVC. He has been working closely with Coach Yosh to learn what it takes to be a positive coach teaching kids the game of volleyball and more importantly how to build confidence in each and every player. Owen will continue to work closely with Coach Yosh and Coach Aaron to be a successful coach.

I feel I’ve been successful as a Volleyball player. By having the guidance of my fellow coaches, I will now be successful as a coach teaching up and coming young players.”
Grace has been involved with volleyball for 10 years as a player, and this will be her 5th season as a coach. As a coach, Grace has been sharing her passion for volleyball by serving as an assistant coach for several Southern California Volleyball Club Programs in Ventura County. She is currently coaching JV boys volleyball at Moorpark High School and will be coaching the Frosh/Soph girls at Newbury Park High!
As a player, Grace successfully represented Newbury Park High School and Moorpark College as a setter. She received a scholarship to continue playing in North Carolina at Montreat College, but an injury cut her time short. Throughout her volleyball career, she has earned both academic and athletic recognition. To name a few: Principle Scholar Athlete (4.0 GPA), 1st team all tournament player, CIF scholar athlete, and MVOP. Grace also played several years of Club Volleyball.

Recognizing the positive difference volleyball has made in my life, I can’t wait to see that same passion develop in the girls we coach. I’m excited for a great season!”
Allie has been involved with volleyball for 10 years and has been coaching for the last 4 years. As a coach, she has coached for multiple club teams in Ventura County, is the head JV sand volleyball coach at Thousand Oaks High School, and will be the graduate assistant coach for the Cal Lutheran women’s volleyball team in the fall.
As a player, Allie finished her collegiate career at Cal Lutheran last fall when she helped win the program’s first ever National Championship. She was a part of four conference championships, two regional championships, and two national championship appearances. She was named to multiple All-Conference, West-Region, and All-American teams throughout her career and is in the record books under multiple categories. She was a two-year member of the Scholar-Athlete Society and was named the Female SCIAC Scholar-Athlete of the Year as a senior for Cal Lu.
Allie graduated with a B.A. in Psychology and will be pursuing her master’s at Cal Lutheran.

Jack has had great success in Ventura County Volleyball for the past 28 years both in High School and Club. Jack was the Head Girls Coach at Buena High nearly 20 years and the Head Coach at St Bonaventure High for 8 years. Jack and his wife Renée owned and operated Channel Islands Volleyball Club for 15 years. In 2010 Jack and Renee opened the Rincon Volleyball Club Facility directly off of Johnson Road in Ventura. The Rincon Volleyball Club was sold in 2015. Recently Jack opened a 6 Court Oceanfront Volleyball Beach Facility in Ventura “Harbor Cove Beach Volleyball Club.”
We welcome Jack’s many awards & accomplishments. Jack was honored by Time-Warner Television as one of the Nation’s “Coaching Legends” sharing a TV episode with Legendary Mater Dei Football Coach Bruce Rollinson. Jack was also recognized by FoxWest Sports in a TV segment aired on their Sports Channel. He was also one of the top 3 national finalists for the “Phil Jackson” Positive Coaching Alliance Award (PCA) for his positive influence, treatment & attitude with players.
In 2004 Jack’s Buena team finished 25-1 winning the tough D1 Channel League Title and finishing in the top 25 high school teams in the nation of 15,000 schools. The same year his team also beat Mira Costa HS (Nat’l #1 seed) in the tough lolani Invitational Tournament in Honolulu. He was also crowned So Cal CIF-SS Division 1 Coach of the Year. Throughout his tenure he also had 5 other Coach of the Year honors at both Buena and Saint Bonaventure High.

Jonathan has been coaching and playing for a combined 15 years. He is the head varsity coach at Saint Bonaventure High School in Ventura and JV Boys coach at Camarillo High School.
He started his playing career at Camarillo High School where he earned all league honors, from there he continued to play at Moorpark College where he studied criminal justice. Jonathan also works for a local social service agency.

Janee comes to us with great experience as a player and coach. She has played competitive volleyball since the age of 8! She was a 4 year Varsity player at Buena High and went on to play two years at Ventura College where she still holds records for career assists, digs and service aces! She also played NCAA Division 2 volleyball at Cal State Stanislaus in central California. She has earned numerous awards during her playing career including: MVP, Golden Hands, First Team Channel League, All Tournament Teams, Ventura County Star Player of the Week and Ventura County Star All County Player. She is also a California Grass State Champion.
Janee is a very experienced coach, coaching nearly 17 years! She has coached for several local volleyball clubs and has 5 “Sweet 16” finishes at the Volleyball Festival. She has also coached at the High School level at Buena and Saint Bonaventure High Schools.
Janee resides in Ventura and works full time at Community Memorial Hospital. She is married to Dennis Hines and they have two children Weston and Charlie.

Mike is has lived in Ventura county since the age of 2 growing up in Camarillo and settling in Ventura for the last 30 years. Married to wife Tami with 3 kids, Cade, Riley, and Brady, Mike is a Math teacher and coach at Balboa Middle School in Ventura for the last 20 years.
Mike was mentored in his early days of coaching by locals Jack Richards and Dale Hoffman as well as USAV guru John Kessel.
Mike has coached boys and girls from U12 through JV at Camarillo and Buena high schools as well as Channel Islands VC (coach), Balboa VC (director and coach), Rincon (coach) and Rise VC (coach).
I am excited for this new chapter in my coaching career and look forward to some great results and high finishes with VCVC.
Eric has been coaching volleyball for the past 11 years. Currently he is the Head JV Girls coach and Varsity assistant at Buena Highschool. Eric has been at Buena for the past 9 years. He has been coaching Club for the past 10 years and has been at VCVC for the past 3 years.
He graduated from Buena High School where he played Volleyball all 4 years. He went to Cal Lutheran where he studied Crimnal Justice.

Davis started his volleyball career at Camarillo High school 7 years ago. At Camarillo, Davis had successful Junior and Senior year campaigns as a starting Outside Hitter, earning league honors in both. Junior year, he was a CIF finalist and then captained his Senior year team to another league championship. After High School, Davis went to Moorpark College and was awarded the Most Inspirational Player his first year and second year of playing along with winning Academic Awards both years. Davis currently attends Cal State University Channel Islands.
Davis entered the VCVC scene as a beach player under Coach Yosh and learned how far hard work can take you; he took that to heart when he started coaching. He started as an Assistant Coach at VCVC and understood what it meant to Coach. He took over a coaching role at Newbury Park High School as the Boys JV Coach and won the league, undefeated, in his first year as a Head Coach.
“I’m excited to come back to VCVC and pick up where I left off. I enjoy challenging every player to be their best. I want my players to continue playing at the next level so I’ll push them to get there. I can’t wait to get started.”
